Astrid Heyer studied French and English at the Free University of Berlin in Germany, spent a year as a scholarship student at Laval University in Québec and obtained her Ph.D. in French Literature at Western University in London, Ontario. She was an assistant professor at Brescia University College in London before moving to Brock University in 2007. Astrid is currently in charge of coordinating the first-year French language course (FREN 1F90; typically 8 sections) in the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures.
